2020 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible in Duluth & Buford, GA
As our Atlanta Corvette enthusiasts know, 2019 has been the year of Corvette. From the announcement of the new C8 generation to having the first-ever mid-engine Corvette announced, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette launch has not been subtle. Another conversation point surrounding the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette launch was pretty straightforward– with all of the changes coming to the C8 generation Corvette, would there be a 2020 Chevy Corvette Convertible?
The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is Coming
On October 2, 2019 in Cape Canaveral, the world got their answer. The reveal came as no surprise to the Hendrick Corvette Center team since the Corvette has always been a convertible-first design. There will be a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible model, and it’s going to be slightly more revolutionary than you think. The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible will be the first-ever hardtop convertible the Corvette lineup has ever had since the first generation of the Corvette was released in 1953. The C8 generation was already redefining the standards and expectations Corvette enthusiasts have for the Corvette, so why not take the opportunity to shatter the glass ceiling for the convertible design!
2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible has the First-Ever Retractable Hardtop
Revolutionary is the name of the game for the entire C8 mid-engine Corvette launch, and the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible reveal has been no different. The convertible configuration lives on in the C8 generation as the ‘Vette has always been a convertible-first performance car. However, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible comes with a twist: the first-ever retractable hardtop! The convertible design in the C8 mid-engine Corvette skips the folding process of the soft tops of the past and now the hardtop will glide into the body of the 2020 Chevy Corvette and be stored conveniently behind the driver and is positioned above the engine. Convenience and efficiency is a key part of the 2020 Corvette and that’s exactly what you get in the process of raising and lowering the retractable roof:
Can be raised or lowered at speeds up to 30 mph
Takes 16 seconds or less to raise and lower
2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible Pricing
Perhaps the most talked-about portion of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette launch has been pricing, which is no surprise because Corvette enthusiasts expected the price to skyrocket because of all of the new innovation and redesigns taking place. However, the pricing of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Convertible models are comparable to previous Corvette generations. The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe & Convertible can be found in the 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT and are priced as follows:
- 1LT: Coupe starting at $59,995* | Convertible starting at $67,495*
